What changes the price

  • How much glass. A coupe has four side windows and a back glass. A three-row SUV can have ten pieces.
  • Which film. Ceramic Plus blocks more heat than Ceramic IR and costs more.
  • Old film. Steaming off old tint and cleaning the glue is extra work, especially on the back glass.
  • Tricky glass. Very curved back glass, split rear windows and small vent windows take more time.
  • The windshield. A sun strip is quick. Full windshield heat film takes longer.

Why the cheapest tint costs more

A low-price tint job is almost always basic dyed film with no ceramic in it. It looks fine at first, then fades purple and bubbles within a few Kentucky summers. Then you pay for removal and for tint again.

Ceramic costs more once and lasts the life of the car. Spread over the years you own it, it’s the cheaper choice.
